When I want to hug God
By Leelah J. Clarke
When I want to hug God,
I walk to the beach and let the sea swallow my legs. The farer
I walk out of it, and the farther it comes after me,
Then I’m reminded
of how he leaves the 99 and chases after me.
When I want to hug God,
I step out in the atmosphere and watch the wind reach out to me first.
It reminds me that the father’s arms are always open, like an ocean's top.
When I want to hug God,
I open my bible to mark 15 and let my emotions gash me apart
& resurrect on the third day as Jesus of my generation.
