PURPOSE: A six-month literary mentorship program called the PEPPER COAST WRITING FELLOWSHIP is intended to help aspiring Liberian writers between the ages of 18 - 35 advance in the field and oversee their own independent creative endeavors. The fellowship will operate under the three pillars of learning, support, and implementation. Through workshops, the fellows will hone their craft and learn the fundamentals of editing and storytelling. The fellowship will aim to educate and motivate the upcoming generation of young Liberian writers through providing them with resources, guidance, instruction, and support for their own initiatives. It is our intention that fellows will develop their creative abilities and become more familiar with the publishing, writing, and editing industries. The fellowship will focus on both prose and poetry.
